Today, March 1, at a meeting of the headquarters for the integrated development of the region, the governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikh, announced the death of two servicemen of the 31st Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Forces, stationed in Ulyanovsk.

“The 31st airborne brigade is taking part in the special operation, you all know about it. There are losses. So far, two people. For some reason, we do not announce names yet. But I ask everyone to honor their memory with a minute of silence,” the governor said, opening the meeting.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation assures that the losses of the Russian side are “many times less” than the losses among the Ukrainian military. The exact number is not called.

In Ukraine, two natives of Chechnya were killed, six more were injured, the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said today. Earlier, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, announced that a native of the republic, officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov, died during a military operation. Neither the Ministry of Defense nor the authorities of the republics have yet named the other dead.
