The spokesman stressed that “the Israeli army is conducting a continuous assessment of the situation, and at this stage there is no change in the directives of the Home Front Command.”

The American CBS channel said: “The Israeli attack was limited to military targets and not nuclear or oil facilities.”

White House spokesman Sean Savitt said, “Washington realizes that Israel is attacking Iran within the framework of its right to self-defense, and in response to the Iranian attack early this October.”

He said: “We are aware that Israel is carrying out specific strikes against military targets in Iran as an exercise of self-defense and in response to the Iranian ballistic missile attack against Israel on October 1.”

He added: “We refer you to the Israeli government to obtain more information about their operation.”
