New Delhi: Israel’s ambassador to India, Nor Kilon, has said that anti-Semitic sentiment among Indians has increased after Israeli film director Natav Lapid’s harsh criticism of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’.

Israeli film director Nadav Labit was invited to preside over the jury at the International Film Festival of India in Goa. He criticized the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ at the closing ceremony, terming the film as vulgar and propagandistic.

There was strong opposition to his criticism in India. Various parties strongly objected to Nathav Lapit’s criticism saying that the film talks about the pains suffered by the Pandit community in Kashmir for many decades and how they were chased out of their own land due to the violence of terrorist organizations and it cannot be said that this film does not fully convey the pains they went through.

The Israeli government also strongly condemned Nathan Lapid’s criticism. Israeli Ambassador to India Nor Kilon, who wrote an open letter to Nathan Labit about this, slammed you for criticizing him. He posted the letter written in English on his Twitter page for everyone to know. Subsequently, Nathav Lapid said that he would apologize if his criticism was misunderstood.

In this case, Israel’s Ambassador to India Nor Gilon has said that after this issue, Indians have increased posting comments against Jews and many people are sending anti-Jewish comments to him through Twitter.

He posted one of the many comments he received on his Twitter page. It said that Hitler was a great man who cremated remains like yours. It was also mentioned that the Jews should leave India immediately. He mentioned that he receives a lot of such objections.
