March is a time of refined aromas, a time of awakening and the beginning of the agricultural year. Of course, the March sky is changeable: sometimes it’s overcast, sometimes it’s full of rays. But all living things rejoice, a surge of vital energy is felt. It seems that you will move mountains and cross the sea. This month, Novruz is especially valuable – one of the most ancient, beloved and cheerful holidays, which has absorbed the traditional values of the Azerbaijani people. This is an amazing time in nature. A light spring wind reminds us of the imminent arrival of real warmth. All living nature feels this and is eagerly preparing for the imminent start of a new life. And, of course, this period has its own voice, which the evening’s participants tried to convey in their compositions. The concert at the Heydar Aliyev Palace was called “The Voice of Spring,” Day.Az reports.
In the concert program, soloists of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater performed mugams, tesnifs and folk songs. Speakers included: People’s Artists Mansum Ibragimov, Gulyaz Mamedova, Nazakyat Teymurova, Honored Artists Tayyar Bayramov, Sabuhi Ibaev, Gyulustan Aliyeva, Elnur Zeynalov, Ilkin Akhmedov, Arzu Aliyeva, as well as Ryavan Amiraslanli, Aytyan Maharramova, Mutallim Demirov, Nazar Beylyarov, Afag Agayeva, Khayal Huseynov, Fuad Azizzadeh, Mirali Saryzadeh, Gulzar Ramizli and Mahabbat Safarov. The performances were accompanied by People’s Artist Elchin Gashimov (tar), Honored Artists Elnur Akhmedov (kamancha), Aliaga Sadiev (tar) and others. The director of the evening is Honored Artist Hafiz Guliyev.
