The Ministry of Commerce announced today, Tuesday, that the marketing centers’ goods are diverse and include all the needs of the citizen, while indicating that it will support the national product and compete with the private sector. It confirmed that the “hypermarket” centers will provide high-quality marketing goods at wholesale prices.

Ministry of Commerce spokesman Muhammad Hanoun told the (INA): “The Ministry of Commerce is putting the final touches to opening marketing centers (hypermarkets) in Baghdad, which will include between (5-6) centers,” stressing, “The technical details of The centers have been completed, and the ministry is preparing to open with a wide public presence.”
He added, “The Ministry seeks, through marketing centers, to support the national product and contribute to its marketing by selling local products in these markets,” indicating that “there is cooperation with the private sector to import high-quality foodstuffs, especially meat, cheese, and other foodstuffs.” that the citizen needs.
He pointed out, “The goods in the hypermarkets will be diverse and include all the needs of the citizen, and will be at lower prices than the local market, which will contribute to supporting poor families and those with limited income, in addition to state employees.”
He stressed, “The marketing centers will work to achieve stability in local prices, so that these markets will be a commercial competitor to the private sector, not a substitute for it.”
He pointed out, “His ministry is working to support the ration card and the food basket project by stabilizing processing operations on a large scale to include all regions of the country. It is also working to support the Iraqi economy by establishing markets (hypermarkets) capable of providing services to citizens at wholesale prices and with related products.” High quality and efficiency.”
He continued, “This step will be a major turning point in the ministry’s work, which aims to improve the performance of local markets and provide another refuge for citizens when prices rise.”
