Today, Thursday, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, and his Saudi counterpart, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, agreed to adopt the joint action plan.
A statement from the ministry – received by the (INA) – stated that “the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council held a meeting of the Education, Youth and Sports Committee headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, and his Saudi counterpart, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan.”
The statement added, “The attendees discussed – via a television conference – the proposals submitted by both sides regarding the initiatives, projects and programs of the fifth session of the Education, Youth and Sports Committee.”
He pointed out, “The two sides agreed to adopt the joint action plan and assign the committee coordinators from both sides to initiate steps to implement the action plan according to a specific timetable.”
The statement continued, “The meetings concluded with a speech by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, and his Saudi counterpart, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, in which they praised the efforts of the work teams from both sides and the steps of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of education, youth, and sports.”
