Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, announced the creation of job grades for contract employees for those with 5 years of service.
The media office of the Minister of Electricity stated in a statement – received by the (INA) – that “The Minister of Electricity received a group of representatives of contract employees, bringing with him the good news of their confirmation to the permanent staff after the issuance of Council of Ministers Resolution No. (24097) for the year 2024.”
He added, “The Ministry’s continuous efforts have resulted in the inclusion of contract workers, who have spent (5) years of intermittent service and who were appointed in accordance with Resolution (484) of 2021, by creating job grades that guarantee them job stability.”
The Minister stressed – according to the statement – that “this segment represents a fundamental pillar of the Ministry’s work,” stressing “the Ministry of Electricity’s commitment to guaranteeing the rights of all its employees in accordance with the legal frameworks.”
The statement indicated, “Representatives of the employees included in the decision presented the shield of achievement to the Minister and Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department, Omar Al-Baldawi, in appreciation of their effective role in achieving this important achievement that contract employees have always dreamed of,” indicating, “This decision came as a result of For the forty-third regular session of the Council of Ministers held on 10/22/2024, opening a new page in the lives of thousands of contract employees and their families.”
