Today, Sunday, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, directed the activation of the smart signals and radars project.
A statement from the Ministry, received by the (INA), stated that “Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, today chaired a meeting with the General Directorate of Traffic, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Police Affairs and the Ministry’s advisors.”
The statement added, “The Minister of the Interior directed during the meeting to activate the smart signals project and expedite the implementation of this project in addition to the highways.”
He continued, “The directive also included the formation of a committee to study the highways that recorded high rates of accidents, especially on the days of the Arba’een visit and the million-dollar events,” stressing “accelerating the completion of the external road sections that are under construction.”
He stressed “the wheels that do not have plates on the street.”
