This year’s theme was “Evolution”, and in their homework, creating tasks for other peers, the teams took them all the way to the 1700s. “I think that evolution is a successful topic, because it is not only entertaining, but also educational,” says Liva Karlsone, a specialist in youth affairs at the Child and Youth Center of the Talsu region. “You also look at the course of history, how the world developed, what it is like today, where are the similarities with earlier times and how to live better in the future.” She points out that this is a great opportunity for young people to communicate and bond with each other, and the Saldus young people have already invited ours to their Youth Day.

After the break, the first winner of the “Notts” competition was Kristiana Keita Tulpe from Meersrag. One of the songs that the girl performed was the powerful “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which the audience also appreciated, giving the most votes to Christiana. /Photo: Tereze Mattison/
