After three years of being active during several Call of Duty installments, the original Warzone, which was renamed ‘Call of Duty Warzone Caldera‘, officially closed its servers this Thursday. A movement that has not been quite questionable by the gaming community, who are not convinced of the new ‘Warzone 2.0’, which has been operational since the launch of Modern Warfare 2.
Warzone Caldera returned with that name after the servers were shut down for a few days. It is based on the map that replaced Verdansk that we first saw in Call of Duty: Vanguard, one of the modern titles in the saga that was not a bestseller and was seriously questioned.

Activision Blizzard revealed months ago that they were going to close the servers to dedicate themselves to new content that will arrive in the future for the franchise. Of course this was a hard blow for thousands of players, since there were many skins, weapons, among other objects that had been unlocked, and that unfortunately were not transferred to Warzone 2.0.
With the closure of Call of Duty Warzone Caldera, the skins and weapons you have unlocked will still be available in the respective multiplayer of: Modern Warfare (2019), Cold War y Vanguard. Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10, 2023, and, according to rumors, we would see the long-awaited return of Worldly.
