STORY – Never out of a private collection, the flagship poem of “a season in hell”, praised by the American singer Patti Smith, is for sale on December 8 at Piasa in Paris.

It’s the 150th anniversary ofA season in Hell by Arthur Rimbaud, one of the most beloved figures in French literature, who died at the age of 37 from bone cancer. Eternity, one of the seven poems that he had printed in the central part of this prose collection published on his own in 1873, is for sale on December 8, at Piasa, in Paris. Estimated at 200,000 to 300,000 euros, this world-famous and acclaimed poem by the American Patti Smith – a page measuring 21 by 15 centimeters written in brown ink and dated May 1872 – is an event, being released on the market.
