/ The President of the Iraqi Volleyball Federation confirmed on Wednesday that the 8th round of the Premier Volleyball League will start on the twenty-fourth of this month at Al-Zubair Hall in Basra.

Federation President Habib Ali Al-Lawandi told Agency, “The South Gas Club Hall will host the competitions of four rounds of the first stage, and the rounds will be completed in another place to be determined later.”

He stated that “tomorrow, Thursday, the competitions for the (7) teams that did not qualify will begin, which will be held in Solaf Hall in Kirkuk with a rate of three matches each day. The first will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon, while the second match will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon, and the third will be held at five o’clock in the evening.”

Al-Lawandi added, “The draw will determine the matches, as the first three matches will be held tomorrow, the first bringing together Haditha Club with Al-Sinaa, then Al-Daghra and Al-Numaniyah, followed by the match between Al-Muqdadiya and (Abu Risha).”

He pointed out that “the matches will continue on Friday, with three matches taking place in the first, bringing together the teams (Abu Risha) and Al-Sana’a, Al-Numaniyah facing Al-Muqdadiya in the second, and the third match bringing together Al-Daghara and Haditha.”

He pointed out that “on Saturday, three matches will be held, the first of which will bring together Al-Daghara and Al-Sina’a, the second will bring together Haditha and Al-Muqdadiya, and the third match will bring together (Abu Risha) and Al-Numaniyah,” indicating that “on Sunday, three matches will be held, the first of which will bring together Al-Nu’maniyah and Al-Sina’a, and the second will bring together Haditha and (Abu Risha). The third brings together Al-Daghara and Al-Muqdadiya.”

Al-Lawandi concluded his statement by saying: “Finally, three matches will be held next Monday, the first bringing together Al-Muqdadiya and Al-Sana’a, while the second brings together (Abu Risha) and Al-Daghara, and finally the match between Al-Numaniyah and Haditha.”
