The Food Safety Inspection Authority informs:
“Representatives of companies engaged in relevant activities were invited to the RA food safety inspection body for the purpose of discussing the existing problems in the field of fish export.
The processes and document circulation of fish export, in particular, the process of issuing the Form 8 certificate of conformity for the consignments under veterinary supervision of sampling, the organization of export on weekends and other issues were discussed.
Emphasizing that the fishing industry is one of the established branches of Armenia’s economy today, Deputy Head of the Inspection Body Vahagn Harutyunyan assured. The inspection body, as a structure regulating the sector, does its best to organize the export process as quickly and smoothly as possible for businessmen.
The businessmen exporting fish and fish products spoke about the problems that arise during export, for the solution of which the state intervention is expected, also recording the proper work of the border inspectors of the SAA, in accordance with the legislation, and their willingness to support.
