He said this in an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda.
He noted that the enemy also failed to completely knock down Western support. Despite this, “the Russians have switched to the game in which they feel best – the long game.” At the same time, while the Ukrainians are asking for help, the Russians are carrying out high-quality import substitution of important components for weapons and equipment, preparing for the next mobilization, and preparing 300 thousand people for the summer.
The fighter added that in some areas the Ukrainian Armed Forces defend and even recapture their territories, but there are also those where they are losing due to lack of resources. The Ukrainian Armed Forces heroically hold the bridgeheads and put pressure where they can.
Chmut noted that in Kyiv, where, fortunately, it is now calm, many have forgotten that the war continues. And the Russian Federation can take advantage of this to try to enter the capital again. He noted that both the Ukrainians, the military, and Western partners must remember that the capital is the number one goal for the enemy, and therefore we must not relax and allow illusions that the worst is behind us.
Let us recall that Zelensky recently said that if the American Congress does not help Ukraine, then the latter will lose the war *to Russia. He also said that without American support, it would be “difficult for Ukraine to win or even survive as a country.”
