The United Nations Security Council unanimously decided to renew the mandate of the United Nations Independent Observer Force in the buffer zone in the occupied Golan for a period of six months, that is, until June 30, 2025.

In Resolution No. 27766, the Council asked the Secretary-General of the United Nations to ensure that the United Nations Observer Force has the necessary capacity and resources to fulfill its mandate in a safe and secure manner.
The resolution calls on all groups other than UNDOF to abandon all UNDOF positions, and return the vehicles, weapons and other equipment of the peacekeeping forces.
The resolution called on “the parties concerned to immediately implement resolution 338 (1973) of 22 October 1973, and also called on the Secretary General to submit a report every 90 days on developments in the case and on the measures taken to implement resolution 338.”
