In a context full of suggestions and historical memories, such as Archaeological Park of Sibarione of the largest sites in the Mediterranean from the classical and Roman periods, the review “The sky above Sibari“Under the artistic direction of Peppe Voltarelli; between reading and music, the event aims to “re-establish ties with the past, moving on the trail of Greek, Hellenistic and Roman remains”.


An immersion in the history and culture of a place that begins the11 Augustat 18, at the National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritidewith the reading “The women of the Odyssey” and continues, at 9.30 pm, at theArcheological areawith the Canto alla Terra, the heroes and the Mediterranean by and with Giuseppe Cederna: the actor, writer and traveler, reads and recounts the journey of men and the words that changed the world.

The journey continues at 10.30 pm with the concert by Roberta Carrieri and Dimitris Kotsiourosin “Mia Fatsa Mia Ratsa” where the secret affinities that bind the peoples of the south to an ancestral Greece are pursued.

Il August 12at 21, atArcheological areathe journey starts under the notes of the violin Luca Ciarla with unusual arrangements of the Italian popular tradition, music from the Mare Nostrum basin and original compositions.

It continues at 10 pm with the concert by Peppe VoltarelliThe long night of Sibari, in which the singer of the Sibaritide will retrace the most significant passages of his thirty-year career.

The review “Il cielo sopra Sibari” is promoted by Archaeological Park of Sibari with the collaboration of Imbalances and the executive management of Sud Studio Digital Sound.

Admission: full 5 euros; 18-25 years 2 euro (reduced); under 18 free admission (the ticket includes access to the National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritide, the Archaeological Park and the concert). Tickets can be purchased at the National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritide and at the Parco del Cavallo archaeological area (only on the evenings of events).
