RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan received the delegation led by the head of Masdar company Mohammed al-Shehi.
The minister welcomed the guests and highlighted the joint cooperation with the company.
During the meeting, the progress of the construction project of the “Aig-1” 200 MW solar photovoltaic plant and the upcoming works were discussed.
The investing company also presented its intention to implement new projects, particularly regarding the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant combined with accumulators.
“Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company” JSC (“Masdar”) was declared the winner of the international competition for the construction of the 200 MW “Aig-1” solar photovoltaic plant based on the “Masdar Armenia Project” investment program. “Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company” OJSC offered a tariff of 0.0290 USD/kWh.
The start of operation of “Aig-1” station is planned for 2025. About 174 million dollars will be invested.
The project is implemented with the State Interests Fund of Armenia – ANIF.
