Anyone looking for a car with racing car characteristics could find what they were looking for in the Mono. The British company BAC (Briggs Automotive Company) designed the car for sportiness. Co-Founder and Head of Product Development, BAC, Neill Briggs speaks in a press release of “lightweight technology, dynamic chassis and optimized suspension”. These are typical for the vehicles of his company.

According to the information, the Mono has been significantly revised compared to the previous model, Mono R. Accordingly, the drive train has been improved and the vehicle has been technically optimized.

Under the hood is a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that, according to the manufacturer, reaches 8,000 revolutions per minute. Accordingly, the engine power is 320 hp. This may not sound like a super sports car at first, but the single-seater vehicle weighs just 570 kilograms. With a torque of 313 Newton meters, the Mono should be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.

Visually, the vehicle is similar to the Mono R with an open driver’s cab and LED main headlights in the front. In contrast to the Mono, this is primarily intended for the racetrack. For example, the rounded body and the rear spoiler are intended to improve aerodynamics and thus have a positive effect on the performance of the car.

BAC Mono: Production of the supercar has started

The Mono had its world premiere at California’s Monterey Car Week on the Pacific Coast. The auto show, where brands such as Lamborghini, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Ford, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, Ferrari, Bentley and Maserati show their luxury innovations, only ended last Sunday. However, according to the manufacturer, production of the Mono has already begun in Liverpool. Orders have already been received from customers worldwide, although the mono is not yet on the market. BAC has not yet announced the price of the super sports car.
