North Korea tried to launch a ballistic missile with its first spy satellite, TASS reports.

With reference to the Ministry of Defense and the Coast Guard of Japan, it is reported that after the launch in Japan, a public warning began, citizens were advised to take refuge in buildings or underground premises.

Subsequently, the missile passed through Japanese airspace and headed towards the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese authorities protested to Pyongyang.

Later, the South Korean Yonhap news agency, referring to the North Korean Central Telegraph Agency (CTAC), reported that an attempt to launch a DPRK reconnaissance satellite was unsuccessful. This was already the second failure in the launch of the satellite. The report says that another attempt to launch the satellite will be made in October.
