Jaffna – A tragic incident has been reported in which a girl fell into a well in Nelliyadi and died tragically.
The incident took place at 6 pm yesterday (18) in the Anna statue area in Karanavai. The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Jagan Gajanika from the area.
It is said that Achirumi may have slipped in the well when Poovarasam climbed into the well to cut the hole for the home-raised goat.
He was later rescued and taken to the Point Pedro Base Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Nelliyadi police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
