Vasil Bayraktarov, an emigrant from the USA, became one of the worthy ones for everything he does for Tsrancha and for popularizing Bulgarian culture in America. In his native village of Dospat, he built a sports park for over BGN 1 million, he helps a local school. The award was presented by the editor-in-chief of “24 Chasa” Borislav Zyumbylev to Vasil’s sister – Ruska. He included with a video message:

America taught me to give back to the society in which I live. John Kennedy’s words: “Not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” I interpret as: “What you can do for your city, for your village, for the park, for the school, for the sick neighbor”. They say that God judges goodness not by quantity, but by whether it is from the heart. I know it’s mine.

Thank you that Vasil was noticed, because our birthplace is far away – on the border with Greece. He always does good, not only for Bulgaria, but also where he lives. Let the good be contagious, wished his sister Ruska Bayraktarova, who received the award from the editor-in-chief of “24 chasa” Borislav Zyumbylev.
