More than 1 million drivers use this type of mobility, according to data from the Spanish Shared Vehicle Association. That’s why the General Traffic Directorate has created a new informative video with which to publicize the rules that users of this type of vehicle must comply with in their urban journeys and do so safely.

The DGT places special emphasis on the fact that the vast majority are electric cars and, therefore, have certain peculiarities when driving.

For example, by not having a clutch, it is advisable to drive carefully since it is common to brake abruptly. In the same way, as they are vehicles with a higher acceleration, you have to be careful when exiting traffic lights and be attentive to pedestrians because, as they are very quiet vehicles, many times they cannot be heard coming.

The video gives a series of basic tips to keep in mind before getting behind the wheel, such as the obligation to have a valid and current driving license, always respect speed limits, not drive while consuming alcohol or drugs or not use mobile phone while behind the wheel.
