A person from Nellai district has filed a case against Jio company and got his due compensation.
Engineer Senthilkumaran from Palayangottai, Nellai district, has got an internet connection from Jio. Jio said that Amazon Frame and ODT will be provided free to Senthil Kumar while providing internet connection. But Senthilkumaran has complained to the Jio company as it was not provided free of charge.
After the complaint, Jio employee Senthilkumaran’s internet plan was scrutinized and it was revealed that he was given only 4G internet connection and only 5G connection would be provided for free – Amazon Frame and ODT will be available at that time. After this, Jio has not provided 5g connection to Senthilkumaran for three months, according to Senthilkumaran.
Due to this, Senthilkumaran filed a case in Tirunelveli Consumer Commission. The chairman and member of the Consumer Commission, which investigated the case, awarded Rs. 10,000, the suit costs Rs. 2000, the petitioner has ordered payment of Rs.3,536.46/- for 3 months along with 6% interest from the date of filing of suit.
