Thrissur investment scam case; Rana bypassed the police and seized the vehicles

Kochi: Praveen Rana, who was absconding in the Safe and Strong investment fraud case, escaped from his flat in Kadavantra. He escaped just before the police team from Thrissur reached the flat. At the same time, the police seized four vehicles, including two cars of Rana, which were in the flat.

Before the police reached the flat, Rana escaped in another lift and then went to Chalakudy in a BMW car. The police collected the CCTV footage of him leaving the flat. But when the police stopped the vehicle in Chalakudy, Praveen was not there. The police suspect that he crossed between Aluva and Angamali.

The case is that Praveen Rana embezzled Rs. 18 cases have been registered against Praveen Rana. which exists 11 cases have been registered at Thrissur East Station, five at West Station and one at Kunnamkulam Station. The complainants had lost between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Investments were accepted after offering up to 48 percent interest and a promise to add a franchise.

The police first registered a case against Rana on the complaint of Honey Thomas, a native of Peachey. The complaint is that he was cheated by saying that he would pay interest of Rs 2000 per month on Rs 1 lakh. The accused bought Rs.1 lakh from the complainant for working as a franchisee in the establishment at Adam Bazar. It was said that a stipend of Rs 2000 per month will be paid along with the deposit once the term is completed. The complaint also states that if the stipend is not received, then after five years, two and a half lakh rupees will be paid.
