The curtain falls today, Sunday, on the Asian Archery Championship, with the final rounds of the archery event for teams and singles for men and women, as well as the singles archery event, on the tennis court at the People’s International Stadium complex in the capital, Baghdad, which witnessed a wide participation of 111 male and female players representing 22 teams.

The Director General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hossam Hassan, told the (INA): “The Asian Cup for Bow and Arrow, hosted by the capital, Baghdad, will conclude its events today with the holding of the Golden Medal Competition for Individual Compound Bow between India and Iran for women.” He showed India with its two players in the men’s final, noting that “the final matches will be broadcast on television on the Iraqi Sports Channel, and there will also be direct broadcasting and continuous follow-up by the official website of the International Federation of Football and the Asian Confederation website and from there to other stations.”
Hassan added, “This tournament received great attention and care from Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and continuous follow-up by Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, which made it a source of praise at the international and local levels,” pointing out that “this forum, which was held for the first time in Baghdad “It was a witness to Iraq’s ability to host important sporting events.”
