Tottenham Hotspur crash out late against Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur, with Timo Werner in the starting line-up, was eliminated from the FA Cup against treble winners Manchester City.

The Londoners lost the fourth round match against Pep Guardiola’s team 0-1 (0-0). Nathan Ake made the decision shortly before the end (88th). Timo Werner was on the pitch the entire season. Tottenham must once again bury their dream of their first FA Cup triumph since 1991.

There were no winners in the remaining games. Among other things, Chelsea FC drew 0-0 with Aston Villa. The guests from Birmingham had a goal from Douglas Luiz disallowed because the VAR had previously detected a handball. In the FA Cup there is no extra time after a draw, but a second leg in the other stadium.
