Israel should strike Iran‘s nuclear facilities”/>
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, at a meeting with voters in North Carolina, expressed the opinion that Israel could strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, US President Joe Biden previously stated that he does not consider it advisable for Israel to strike nuclear facilities in Iran.
“I think he [Байден] wrong. Isn’t that the target you would strike at? “Nuclear weapons are the biggest risk,” he said, commenting on the words of the current head of the American administration. “When asked about this, the answer should have been: hit nuclear sites first and worry about everything else after.”
Trump added that the United States “needs to be prepared” for such a development.
The American magazine The New Yorker wrote that the Israeli Air Force will not be able to destroy Iran’s nuclear infrastructure without US help. This is especially true for the underground uranium enrichment facility at Fordo, which is located south of Tehran. This object, journalists believe, can only be destroyed by the American Air Force.
On the evening of October 1, Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel in response to the killings of key individuals in the leadership of Hamas, Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Tehran said that 90% of the missiles successfully hit their intended targets, while Israel claims that Iran launched about 180 missiles and most of them were intercepted. The Israeli General Staff promised to “choose the time” and surprise with a response to the attack, and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that attacks on Israel would be even more widespread.
