King Abdul, with the help of a magic key, “tunes” his subjects, controlling their movements and emotions. Tuned people are like machines. They talk, run, laugh, pout, without knowing why… They think they are free, but in reality their every thought, every emotion, every action is directed. The only ones who can even escape, are the children! And that, at most until they turn fourteen because then…
So, they decide to take matters into their own hands before they too are transformed into machines. Fani and Petros decide to join forces and steal the magic key, which is guarded by Cerberus, the mythical monster with three heads that never sleeps. Their allies in this awesome journey are a Madman, a Cat and a lullaby.
Will they manage to pass the difficult tests? Steal the magic key from Cerberus and free the elders from the tuning by giving them the chance to become Human again?
A work that praises the beauty of simplicity, unfailing love, the value of fighting for what you believe in and those you love. A project that aims to problematize children and make them aware of individual responsibility towards society and the world away from the classic standards of “they lived well and we lived better”.
The text is by Stella Michailidou, directed by Petros Christakopoulos and stars Michalis Gorgoulis, Lena Sokoreli, Yiannis Papageorgiou, Mina Pappa and Petros Christakopoulos. The original music was written by Yannis Galitis, the scenery was created by Anna Parisi, the choreography was by Haritina Koukos, the costumes were made by Mina Pappa, the lighting design was by Petros Christakopoulos, the sound and lights will be handled by Nikiforos Tsilis, the poster designed by Stefani Chrysovitsinou (illume graphic design), while, finally, the photography was undertaken by Nikos Roussis.
