Two planes collide on the runway of one of Tokyo’s airports

Two passenger planes have collided this Saturday on one of the runways of the Tokyo Haneda airport. As reported by the Japanese authorities, the accident that has not left anyone injured but the detachment of several pieces of the aircraft has forced the partial closure of the aerodrome.

The incident occurred around 11 local time on Saturday (2:00 GMT) on runway A at Haneda airport, and involved a plane from the Thai airline Thai Airways and another from the Taiwanese EVA Air, according to reports Japanese authorities.

This runway, where the planes involved are parked and fragments of the wing of one of them can be seen, according to the images captured by the state chain NHK, has been closed by airport officials to carry out an investigation into what happened.

At the moment there is no evidence that the accident has caused any injuries among the passengers of both aircraft, according to the Japanese Ministry of Territory, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
