Two Russian films were awarded at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.
So the picture “Gerda” directed by Natalia Kudryashina received the prize for the best actress and the prize of the young jury. The main character in this film was played by a young actress Anastasia Krasovskaya.
And the film “Medea” directed by Alexander Zeldovich won the prize “For a spectacular modern version of the tragedy of Euripides, which does not distort its poetics.”
