Udhayanidhi clarifies about releasing Hindi Movie Lal Singh Chadda of Aamir Khan: ‘We will oppose only Hindi imposition’

by time news

While the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu has been emphasizing anti-Hindi, DMK Youth Secretary and MLA Udhayanidhi has given an explanation for the controversy surrounding the release of a Hindi film.

The 1994 Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’ was well received by the film buffs internationally. Hollywood actor Tom Hanks played the lead role in this film.

A movie called Lalsingh Sarda has been made in Bollywood based on the already popular movie Forest Gump. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is playing the lead role in this movie. Aamir Khan starrer Lalsingh Satta Hindi film is also releasing in Tamil language. The Tamil version of the film is being released in Tamil Nadu by DMK Youth Secretary and MLA Udayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.

While the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu has been emphasizing anti-Hindi in the state, the Tamil version of DMK youth secretary Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant Movies Hindi film Lalsingh Chadha starring Aamir Khan has become controversial.

Udhayanidhi’s Redgiant Movies has bought and released hit films including Vikram and Don. In that vein, the release of Aamir Khan-starrer Lalsingh Chatta was met with controversy due to DMK’s anti-Hindi stance.

In this situation, actor Aamir Khan and Udayanidhi participated in the promotion program of Lalsingh Chadha’s film. At the event, Udayanidhi was questioned about the controversy. At that time, he said, “We are a state that has grown up in anti-Hindi for 60 years, we will wear a shirt saying that we do not know Hindi. Let’s make fun of all the fashionistas. But Panipuri is mainly featured in the trailer of this film. You are releasing a Hindi film for the first time in Red Giant. There will be a lot of criticism. How are you going to see it? Are you going to release this film that will get a lot of reviews?” They questioned that.

Responding to this question, Udhayanidhi Stalin said, “We have always opposed only ‘Hindi imposition’. “Hindi is not a language,” he explained. At that time, Udayanidhi said: “We have never said that we should never learn Hindi, but we have opposed the imposition of Hindi, and we have never said that we should not learn a language. You can learn if you want. But if you say that you have to learn Hindi, DMK’s policy is to oppose it. This is the first Hindi film. We have released a Telugu film before. Apart from the language I am a huge fan of American acting. I like his films very much. I have seen many of his films. Forrest Gump takes place in the background of American history. Similarly, the history of India takes place in the background in this film as well. There was also a conversation between me and Aamir Khan. He made me consider where this would fit. They took note of some of the things I said and changed small things. After watching the film, I said that the Tamil version can be released by Red Giant Movies. It can also be considered as a fan moment. I thank actor Aamir Khan and the director for this,” he said.
