The power supply in the Russian-occupied city of Energodar has been cut off after a Ukrainian drone attack, DPA reported, referring to a message by the governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky in Telegram. The city is located near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, which as of March 2022 is under the control of Russian troops.

In his message, Balicki called on citizens to “remain calm and take shelter in bomb shelters.” He said the blackout followed a drone attack by Kiev and that one person had been killed.

At least three people, including a child, were killed in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy during midnight Russian drone strikes, the region’s military administration said.

“In the morning, the enemy struck a multi-story residential building and critical infrastructure,” the Ukrainian administration wrote in Telegram and announced that a total of 25 Russian combat drones had been shot down.

Attacks by Ukrainian drones have also been reported in regions of Russia itself. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 18 Ukrainian drones were shot down, mainly over the Bryansk region, BTA writes.

According to media reports, the targets of the attack were a rubber plant and a thermal power plant in the Tula region. Local authorities reported that the fall of a drone on the territory of an industrial enterprise in the Voronezh region caused a fire, which was extinguished. The information cannot be confirmed by independent sources, DPA notes.
