With its Decision 3443/20.03.2024, the Supreme Administrative Court confirmed the legality of the issued sports license of the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022, reported the BFSh 2022. With the same decision, the supreme judges rejected the appeals of the Association “Bulgarian Chess Federation”, chess 1928″ and “Bulgarian Chess Federation” as unfounded.
“The speculation surrounding the license of the federation served as the basis for a negative campaign that hindered normal activity, the conclusion of contracts with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as with sponsors. This decision gives peace of mind to the work of BFSh 2022 for the development of our sport, and also so there is a real chance that the unification processes in chess will continue”, stated the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022.
“Clubs that are regular members of the licensed federation can plan their activities in the long term – their rights are protected. It is worth noting that this is also an opportunity for chess people to stop being influenced by outsiders who feed on scandals, division and appeals. Speculation cannot be a way of communication, and it is time for toxic individuals to leave the chess community,” the statement added.
“It should be accepted by everyone that the Bulgarian Chess Federation 2022 is licensed, and that this is a basis for building on the successes in this sport. This positive sign comes on the eve of the talks between the contact groups of BFSH 2022 and BSFSH. We hope you to be constructive, in the interest of chess players and clubs – an interest for which we have always worked. Unification within the framework of the licensed federation is the only true path for real progress of our native chess!”, concludes the statement of the BFS 2022.
