Since Tuesday, this list has been enriched by one entry: The central defender scored his first goal of the season in the DFB Cup quarter-finals against Bayer Leverkusen (2:3), which he did not downplay after the end of the game. “I’ve been waiting a long time for my goal this season,” said the 27-year-old about his header into the far corner to make it 1-0 – but in the same breath he added that he would of course have been happy to trade it in order to advance.
