/ The United States of America announced, on Thursday, launching new strikes against the sites of the Ansar Allah group “Houthis”, while President Joe Biden said that the attacks will not stop the Houthis.

An American official told the Qatari Al Jazeera channel, “The American forces launched new strikes on the Houthi positions this afternoon, Sana’a time,” explaining that “the strikes on the Houthi positions destroyed two anti-ship missiles.”

He pointed out that “the two missiles, for example, are an attack on shipping and US Navy forces in the Red Sea.”

In this context, US President Joe Biden considered that the clashes between Iran and Pakistan this week show that Tehran “is not accepted by anyone in the region.”

Pakistan launched attacks on separatist militants inside Iran on Thursday, two days after Tehran announced that it had attacked the bases of another armed group inside Pakistani territory.

Biden said: “As you can see, Iran is not widely accepted in the region, and we are now working to determine the outcome of all this. I do not know where this will lead.”

Biden also announced, in an interview with reporters, that the US-British strikes targeting the Houthis in Yemen will continue as long as they continue their attacks on ships in the Red Sea.

But he admitted that the attacks did not stop Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.

The reporters asked the president about these strikes, and he replied: “Will they stop the Houthis? No. Will they continue? Yes.”

For its part, the White House said, “We are monitoring the clashes between Iran and Pakistan and do not want an escalation to occur,” noting that “Iran’s attack is another example of its destabilizing behavior in the region.”
