Former international player Ahmed Khudair confirmed that the national team has a great chance of reaching the World Cup in light of FIFA’s decision to increase the number of participating teams in addition to the number of direct seats, calling on our team’s coach to review the mistakes of the previous match and provide a better level in the opponent’s stadium.
Khudair told the (INA), today, Monday: “Our team did not perform at the required level in the first match when compared to what it presented in the last Asian Nations Championship, especially since the opposing team is ranked 139 and is considered outside the technical calculations for the Asian continent.”
Khudair added, “Our team has a good chance to qualify for the World Cup in light of FIFA’s decision to increase the number of participating teams to 48 teams, in addition to increasing the number of direct seats to 8 seats, in addition to a seat in the continental playoff.”
Khudair continued, “The opportunity is good, and the space at the present time is sufficient for the coach to review and correct mistakes and appear better in his journey in the qualifiers, calling on the technical staff to choose a balanced squad and work to stabilize the team to provide the best in the coming period.”
