jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has raised its voice regarding the existence of instructions from the wife of former Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) tax official Rafael Alun Trisambodo, Ernie Meike Torondek, who received a stream of gratuities and was involved in money laundering.

Corruption Eradication Commission spokesperson Ali Fikri said that his party had not followed up on the instructions because they were still focused on dealing with the cassation process submitted by Rafael.

“The defendant is cassing, the Corruption Eradication Committee is also cassating. The cassation is also more about the issue of confiscation of assets so of course the next time there is a final decision, which has permanent legal force, then we will carry out an in-depth analysis to determine whether there are other parties who can be held responsible, either “That’s corruption and TPPU,” said Ali, Friday (26/4).

Ali explained that the Corruption Eradication Committee was also focusing on looking for assets suspected of originating from Rafael’s gratification and money laundering.

“For example, yesterday we confiscated a house in North Sumatra,” said Ali.

Currently, continued Ali, the Corruption Eradication Committee is only processing the act of accepting bribes by Rafael. However, the Corruption Eradication Commission has also traced its assets for future TPPU implementation.

“So, in the future, when resolving corruption cases, we will definitely also look into the assets,” he explained.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor team on Thursday (28/3) filed an appeal through the Corruption Crimes Deputy Registrar at the Central Jakarta District Court regarding the court’s decision regarding the confiscation of one of the assets belonging to the defendant Rafael Alun Trisambodo.

Corruption Eradication Commission spokesperson Ali Fikri said that his party had not followed up on the instructions because they were still focused on facing Rafael Alun Trisambo’s cassation process.
