The WhatsApp messenger (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned) has added a new feature, thanks to which a disappearing message can be saved – if the sender consents to this. To send a save request, just hold down on the message and a pop-up box will appear.

WhatsApp believes that this will give even more control to the sender – he will be able to both allow and prohibit saving the message. The new feature will be launched in the coming weeks. Previously, WhatsApp made it possible to see groups shared with other users. The messenger is testing the ability to change the text of a message when forwarding it to other users, and is also going to introduce a new feature that will allow users to set the length of stay in group chats. After this period, the user will be automatically removed from the group.
