The Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Ministry of Commerce’s wheat storage exceeds two million tons, while indicating the imminent opening of modern commercial complexes that operate using the electronic system.

Al-Ghurairi told the (INA) that “the Ministry of Commerce’s stores are full of more than two million tons of wheat,” pointing out that “Iraq has achieved food security and left the list of countries that lead the increase and inflation in food prices, as the Ministry’s stores have enough food supplies.” For the next four sessions.”

He stressed that “there are comprehensive supervisory measures in Baghdad and the governorates that follow up on processing operations and food prices in local markets and hold violators accountable in coordination with the regulatory agencies,” indicating that “modern commercial complexes will be opened in Baghdad similar to central markets that operate using the electronic system and sell at 25% lower prices.” %”.
