BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has announced that the Asia Cup cricket series will be held in the United Arab Emirates.

The Asia Cup cricket series is held every 2 or 4 years in which teams from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan play.
The last Asia Cup cricket series was held in 2018, this year the Asia Cup series will be held. The series will be held from August 27 to September 11.

The Asia Cup cricket series was planned to be held in Sri Lanka. But the Sri Lankan Cricket Board has informed the Asian Cricket Council that they will not be able to host the Asia Cup cricket series due to the extraordinary economic and political situation in Sri Lanka.
Hence there was doubt as to where the Asia Cup series would take place. It was learned that it could be held in the UAE or Bangladesh. But the confusion continued as there was no official announcement about where it would be held.
