Berlin – A narrative is a meaningful narrative. It influences the way in which people perceive their environment, their society. It should convey values and feelings. One narrative in politics is: our program is good, we just didn’t get it right. Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, this sentence has seemed like a leitmotif to many. It relates to measures to protect against Sars-CoV-2.
So it should not be good for people’s sentiment, at least not everywhere. In Berlin, for example, there is currently a need for clarification among parents of primary school students. They want to know why the mask requirement was extended in class and are therefore suing the Senate in court. There must be valid arguments, studies, statistics and comparisons for the extension. With Brandenburg, for example, where the mask requirement no longer applies. But these arguments are not conveyed.
