Paris Saint-Germain returned to victory on Friday in Strasbourg (2-1), a week after being held in check by Brest (2-2).

A trip to the cauldron of La Meinau to forget the poor performance against Brest? This is the mission that awaited Paris Saint-Germain, opposed to Strasbourg, Friday February 2 at the opening of the 20th day of Ligue 1. Winners of the Alsatians without shining (2-1), the Parisians signed a fifteenth consecutive match without defeat in the championship. And temporarily regain a nine-point lead over their runner-up Nice in the standings.
The balance sheet is therefore perfect for PSG but, twelve days before the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against Real Sociedad, the Parisians have not really reassured in Alsace. Confident for several weeks, the Racing Club de Strasbourg posed serious problems for PSG, who trembled until the end. Fortunately for the French champions, success was on their side.
Because, if Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty at the start of the match, stopped by Alaa Bellaarouch for his first Ligue 1 match, he then took advantage of an error from the Alsatian goalkeeper to open the score (1-0, 31st) . It was then after a counter that PSG made the break after returning from the locker room, thanks to Marco Asensio (2-0, 49th). The score was enough to frustrate Strasbourg, which was exciting and which restarted the match with Dilane Bakwa (2-1, 68th). But the Alsatians then came up against a great Gianluigi Donnarumma, the only satisfaction of the evening for PSG.
