Kabul:On Women’s Day, an unusual protest of twenty women in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. The protest was called to save the Afghans from the Taliban.

Afghanistan is the country where women’s rights are most repressed, according to the United Nations. Rosa Otunbayeva, head of the UN’s Afghan mission, said that the Taliban is chasing women and girls from public places. After seizing power in Afghanistan in 2021, the Taliban has been committing severe human rights violations against women and children. This includes denial of employment opportunities and education.

In Afghanistan’s neighboring country, Pakistan, thousands of women marched for their rights, defying the ban of the authorities. Women’s marches were held in different countries like Spain, France and Britain.
