Yangpyeong-gun allocated 59 billion won in the first supplementary budget. Yangpyeong-gun (Governor Jeon Jeon-seon) prepared a supplementary budget worth 988.5 billion won, an increase of 59 billion won (6.35%) compared to the main budget.

The county announced that it had prepared the first supplementary budget as approved by the Yangpyeong County Council on the 23rd, with the general account allocating 774.3 billion won, an increase of 36.6 billion won, and the special account 214.2 billion won, an increase of 24.4 billion won.

Through efforts to increase revenue, general accounting revenue resources of KRW 2.5 billion were secured from local taxes, KRW 276 million from non-tax revenue, KRW 10.3439 billion from local allocation taxes, KRW 6.82791 billion from increased national highway expenses, and KRW 16.7239 billion from internal transactions and conservation income.

Through this supplementary budget, the county plans to invest heavily in completing regional economic revitalization projects and social infrastructure construction projects mentioned at a press conference last month and supplement insufficient administrative expenses.

In order to revitalize the traditional market, the county raised the incentive from 6% to 10% by securing an additional KRW 1.27629 billion for the Yangsu-ri Traditional Market Customer Support Center construction project and ▲ KRW 1.103 billion for the local currency issuance support project.

In addition, to complete the social infrastructure project, ▲ 1.5 billion won for the urban planning road construction project ▲ 1.2 billion won for the rural road expansion project ▲ 4.79 billion won for the Okcheon Yangseo rural living water development project (installation of the Shinwon water purification plant) ▲ Construction of the Yangpyeong Library 950 million won was allocated to the project.

In particular, to revitalize Yangpyeong-gun’s tourism resources, ▲1.3 billion won was allocated to the Gudun Art Station construction project, and ▲1.42786 billion won was allocated to resolve urgent long-awaited projects in towns and villages.

Yangpyeong-gun Mayor Jeon Jin-seon said, “This supplementary budget was organized with an emphasis on efficient distribution of limited financial resources, and I am grateful to the Yangpyeong County Council for its efforts to deliberate and decide the budget despite difficult financial situations.” He added, “To help revitalize the local economy. “All departments and towns and villages will do their best to quickly execute the confirmed budget and create an ‘attractive Yangpyeong’ that meets the needs of residents,” he said.
