Katherine Gómez, the 18-year-old girl who was burned alive on Saturday in Plaza Dos de Mayo by a Venezuelan criminal, died today at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital due to the extensive burns on her body.

The Arzobispo Loayza Hospital indicated that the victim was receiving specialized care in the Critical Burn Area of the Intensive Care Service. She had second and third degree burns on 60% of her body.
“The patient could not overcome the damage caused by the burns she had, dying at 9:20 am. today,” says the statement posted on Twitter.
