Thodupuzha രണ്ട് Two more shutters of Mullaperiyar Dam reopened. With this the water is released through 6 shutters. The Idukki District Collector warned the residents of Periyar coast to be careful in case of further flooding.
Water Resources Minister Roshi Augustine said the protest against the unannounced release of water from the Mullaperiyar Dam would be reported to the Central Water Commission, the chairman of the oversight committee and Tamil Nadu. Avoid leaving water open at night. He said if the water level reaches 142 feet, more water should be released during the day.
