A new business model for the insurance sector was presented at the meeting by Yusuke Sono, founder and CEO of Japan Warranty Inc.
Md. Amin Helali said that the economy of Bangladesh is growing rapidly. Day by day people’s lifestyle is also changing. If we can bring new and innovative insurance products and services to the market like Japan, then people will be interested in insurance.
Health insurance in Bangladesh still remains unexplored, he said, noting that the lengthy process and complexity of insurance settlement, lack of public awareness and crisis of confidence are major challenges for the sector. Sustainable development of the country’s insurance sector is possible through domestic and foreign joint ventures.
