American producer and composer Bram Inscore, known for working alongside figures such as BTS and Troye Sivan, is committed suicide at age 41 in San Francisco, California.

In a statement reported by American media, his relatives reported that the musician “ended his life after an arduous fight against depression“, December 19. “Selfless as a human being and generous as a collaborator, he ingeniously served the music, but never his own ego. “A deep compassion and a dry wit were embedded in everything he did, although he never sought praise or approval,” the writing reads.

Born in San Francisco, Inscore began playing bass in high school and studied orchestral and jazz music at the University of Southern California (USC). The instrumentalist also left university to join tours with bands such as Beck, Twin Shadow, Thurston Moore and Charlotte Ginsgbourg and eventually dedicated himself to musical composition. In 2009 he released his debut solo album under the title ‘BRAM’ and in 2016, as part of the duet Touché, he presented ‘It’s Fate’.

Inscore contributed as a composer to various singles by popular artists such as ‘Youth’, for the album ‘Blue Neighborhood’ (2015) by Troye Sivan, ‘Don’t Give Up on Me’, for the album ‘Naive’ (2019) by Andy Grammer, or ‘Louder than Bombs’, by South Korean phenomenon BTS, which is part of the material ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ (2020).
