Today it became known that on March 21, a military helicopter Mi-8 * of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation made a “hard landing” near the village of Rovenki, Belgorod region. The helicopter pilot was reported injured.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “ASTRA”.

The city of Rovenki is located just a few kilometers from the territory of the Lugansk region of Ukraine, which is temporarily under Russian occupation. Recently, there has been activity in this region by volunteer groups participating in limited military operations.

The Baza telegram channel also confirmed this information, adding that the helicopter received mechanical damage. There were four people on board, one of whom, injured, was taken to a local hospital. According to the publication, the cause of the hard landing was pilot error.

At the moment, there have been no statements from RDK or the Russian Freedom Legion regarding this incident.

Earlier, Kursor reported that strong explosions were heard in Belgorod. According to the governor of Belgorod, three health care institutions and many residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling.

“Kursor” also wrote that the RDK fighters named the purpose of the operations in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The RDK stated that even after the end of the war in Ukraine they intend to continue to fight for their goals.

The RDK representative emphasized that their second goal is to continue the “liberation campaign” aimed at changing the regime, which, in their opinion, oppresses the Russian people and limits freedom. The speaker declared his intention to destroy this regime and continue to fight for his goals, even after the end of the war in Ukraine.
