If the two classes will remain closed, “an additional post has been announced at the Porte-Colombe school which will be shared between the allophone students already registered and the rest of the school”, justifies Roger Didier, who has started to eat again. following the advice of his doctor after having “lost 8 kg”.

An agreement with the academic inspectorate

The date of the opening of this new position in this school which has been withdrawn three classes in five years has not, however, been specified. “An agreement has been reached with the academic inspectorate so that there will be no job cuts, in the next three years if there is no significant drop in the total number of students”, added the mayor.

Denouncing “an accounting logic, where the quality of education should be the only objective”, the 71-year-old elected official had stopped eating on September 11 and slept in his town hall office to protest against the closure of two primary school classes in his city at the start of the school year in September.
